At Aventuras Naturales, we are dedicated to helping people enjoy and learn about tropical nature while respecting and protecting the environment and local cultures. Founded in 1986, Aventuras Naturales specializes in white-water rafting, mountain biking and hiking tours, and owns and operates the Pacuare Lodge – an award-winning eco-lodge nestled in the rainforest overlooking the Pacuare River. Our trips are not only exhilarating, unforgettable adventures, they are opportunities to experience Costa Rica’s rich biodiversity while enriching your own live. Our team takes pride in offering high quality adventure tours that are a notch above the vast majority of travel options available in Costa Rica.

A Positive Impact

We aren’t just dedicated to helping our clients experience the beauty of tropical nature, we want to ensure that our business has a positive impact on that nature and nearby communities. We consequently follow sustainable tourism policies that include recycling, energy and water conservation, environmental education and community assistance. We’ve purchased 260 hectares (642 acres) of primary rain forest for conservation and to offset the atmospheric carbon emitted by our vehicles, which makes our tours carbon neutral. With the help of our clients, we are also reforesting former pastureland along the Pacuare River with native tree species. We provide employment for local people and support cultural preservation and improvements of schools and infrastructure in communities near the Pacuare Lodge. Tour Capacity

Custom itineraries can be designed for almost any size group. Aventuras Naturales has ample experience operating one-day rafting trips for up to 150 passengers. Maximum capacity for multi-day rafting trips, with accommodations at the Pacuare Lodge is 14 with double occupancy or 21 with triple occupancy.
